Slightly OT: OS X on an AMD Desktop
Posted: Sun Mar 09, 2008 6:58 pm
I tried OS X on my desktop, just to make sure it would be a worthy addition to my Laptop (my next project), and I can't get past the first loading screen (Grey screen, apple logo, and loading symbol)
How long should this last? Do I need to install it on a blank HDD for it to work?
I have the following:
AMD 4200+ X2 (x64)
4GB (4x 1GB PC6400) OCZ Platinum RAM
Seagate SATA 320GB HDD
Gigabyte/ATi HD2400 Pro PCIe Video Card
ASUS M2A-VM motherboard
LG Super Multi SATA DVD Burner
with Kalyway 10.5.1 DVD
I tried removing 1 stick of RAM (so 3GB total), because this has caused problems on this board for me before running Vista x86, and I have the same problem.
Any suggestions?
