Black menus, T60P, Leo4Allv2

#1 Post by shunyun » Fri Apr 18, 2008 1:43 am

I've been trying to get Leo4AllV2 on my T60P 8741-c3U

I was finally able to get some kind of video using ATIv5250_kexts.zip that I downloaded here ( Can't find the post now ). I'm almost there, but not quite... All my menus are black. Any suggestions?

Hi,

The black menus are common if not all of your ATI***.kext files are of the same version. Specifically, these kexts got updates with the Leopard Graphics Update (which may be in your install by default), which differ from the kext you've installed to make your res and qe/ci work.

Long story short: here are the kexts you should use, I use them on my T60p with th 15,4" widescreen 1680x1050 display, just to make sure!)

Grab them here: http://rapidshare.com/files/105314204/F ... 0.zip.html

I assume you know how to install these, but if you don't, grab Kext Helper b7 and use that to install, it's a very handy app: http://www.cheetha.net/Kext_Helper/Software.html

Good luck, let me know how it turns out!

That was the trick, finetuned. Yes, the Leo4AllV2 has the GU already applied. And yes, looking back at the kext files I was using, I do see the version differences. So now my video is a happy puppy!

Thank You!
