Upgrade to 10.5.5? Booting to ultrabay?

#1 Post by devildog2067 » Sat Oct 04, 2008 10:42 am

OK, I have 10.5.1 running on my T61p with everything that everyone else has working--EFI, sound (no mic), VESA video with no QE/CI, wireless. Haven't gotten ethernet working yet but that's more due to lack of interest than anything else.

I've got a couple of hours invested in getting this OSX install set up, so I don't want to make any changes that might make me have to start over. Is it worth it to try upgrading to 10.5.2+? What would I gain?

Also, I installed as MBR on a clean HD. I took my old HD, which was WinXP/Ubuntu and put it in the Ultrabay. OS X recognizes the Windows partitions without any tweaking. I would like to make it possible to boot to these partitions if possible.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.
