salut upgarde
nice to hear you got 10.5.8 running!
I just ruined my 10.5.6 install with the update, now I'm curious to hear how to do it right.

iATKOS 4i (10.5.4) Guide for T60p (2007-WMJ) 1600x1200
Re: Guide for T60p (2007-WMJ) 1600x1200 upfdate 10.5.6 to 10.5.8
The update works quite well in 10.5.8, but we lose the sleep mode
and I do not understand or have problems because both carry the same Kernels kexts. So, I have a temporary solution which is not great. Is to install the 9.3 kernel if you want to keep the sleep mode and use the 9.8 kernel if you do not need the sleep mode.
1: You must have a "Time Machine" up to date!
2: Kext Helper B7 : http://cheetha.net/
3: OSX86Tools: http://code.google.com/p/osx86tools/
4: Download the patch for the T60p-2007wmj here: http://dl.free.fr/peEahc5fC
5: Download and install the 10.5.8 combo update here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/DL86 ... 10.5.8.dmg
6: Reboot
7: After the first boot, you'll have a second boot.
8: Run Kext Helper b7 then install the kext files.
9: Launch Osx86 tools to install the kernel of your choice in the archive.
Here, you will be 10.5.8

thanks, I will studie your kexts and try again in the next days.
sleep is a big problem as it seams, at insanlymac I read about using DSDT Patcher to create a dsdt.aml with 'Force HPET' checked and other stuff, but this post sounds the most promissing.

got sleep working in 10.5.8 / 9.8 kernel
in short, I used the Power Management part of bozillas 10.5.6 guide here in the forum, using VoodooPower.kext and SleepEnabler.kext from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... try1224830 (read the post before install).
I still have some minor bugs, no sound, no battery meter ... but I'm working on that later.
The graphics are fine with upgards kexts and my edid data in the ATIinject.
My big issue is the unstable external monitor, but I had the same problem in 10.5.6. …

Here is the archive for update in 10.5.8 kernel 9.8.
Sleep mode: ok
open dmg: ok
Those who have already made the switch in 10.5.8 can install only the file sleepenabler.kext before kernel 9.8
