T61 1680x1050 x3100 Cursor Corruption Issue Fix?

I've seen a couple of other posts on this around the web, but no solutions, so I thought I'd check with my friends here. Do any of you know if anyone has come up with a solution for x3100 graphics at 1680x1050 cursor corruption?

For those of you unfamiliar with the issue, the cursor appears to be perfect at 1600x1000@60Hz, but any attempt that I make to get the cursor to 1680x1050 results in a corrupt pointer. Any help would be appreciated.

Model: 6465-CTO
Install: iPC 10.5.6 (as well as many others)
Adapter: x3100
