Installed iATKOS but its gone terrible wrong.

#1 Post by Mr.Sim » Sat Jun 27, 2009 3:30 pm

I'm on a R50e, installed iATKOS 5 I believe (Leopard 10.5.7) Installation was fine, installed the things I needed. Then I restarted after all installation, it showed the Apple logo and the little loading circle, I have left it at that for over 1 hour and nothing changed. So I decided this isn't going to work. I pressed Access IBM button at startup to go into Rescue and Recovery to restore factory settings (Windows XP) It loaded, said Please wait, fully loaded then and gave me an error saying it needed to shut down. So I cannot access R&R. So I gave a shot by putting my Windows XP disc in and pressed F12 to select boot options, I selected the CD/DVD drive, but It didn't boot that, it just completely ignored the XP disc and decided to boot the Mac up (Apple logo and continues loading circle) So that didn't work, I put my Vista disc in (which came with my Dell Inspiron) in, it worked, I followed through installation, got to the point where I had to select the drive, I selected C:/ but it said it there was no room (size is 32.7GB, Mac isn't that big) So I clicked format to install Vista and it gave me an error saying it couldn't be formatted, so I couldn't select that drive at all, so altogether now, I'm busted. What can I do here?

Welll I think theres your problem... (It MIGHT be)

On the laptops I have installed iAtkos on it will not work if there is an R&R partion on the HDD.
I had the same problems until I removed the R&R and reinstalled.

As I said it might an solution.
