Trackpoint on x60 Tablet (6365)

#1 Post by Voin » Sat Dec 19, 2009 2:42 am

Hi!

I am slowly making progress on my x60 project. So far I managed to get Vanilla 10.6, update it to 10.6.2 and bring up GMA945 in QE with native resolution. If some one need any help with that stuff, please let me know.

Big problem I have is a trackpoint. Voodoo PS does not pick it up. In fact, I can't make anything useful with Voodoo PS2 for some reason. If I switch ApplePS2 to Voodoo, keyboard is not working.

I did some extensive digging. I found one reference to success story with x60 trackpoint. Unfortunately, link is dead. So, I don't have the recipe.

HALP!

Thank you.

Hey Voin !

In fact there are several who try to get an X60 to work properly with SnowLeopard ...
For your Trackpoint issue just try to view content of ApplePS2Controller or VoodooPS2Controler and delete the Kext with Trackpad in
/Plugins ...

But, just before trying this, can you tell me if sleep/wake works for you ? Because this is the very issue where I am stuck : I have to chose between trackpoint and sleep :

- if the trackpoint isn't installed, sleep/wake works vanilla
- if the trackpoint is loaded, no mouse and no keyboard on wake

One solution could be to use the tablet, but when i select "Load on startup" the system is unable to find any tablet ... too bad
