T60p - Post Install Issues - Bluetooth, DVD playback, iWork

#1 Post by clockwork357 » Thu Dec 31, 2009 2:46 pm

Hello,
I installed iAtkos 10.5.7 on a T60p2623-D8U with a T2500 CPU and ATI v5200. Install went fine, I have the system up and running, updated it to 10.5.8 and have the appropriate wifi card on order, but I'm having a few issues and was hoping someone could comment on them.

The bluetooth is not recognized oob. Are there any drivers that I can install to make this show up?
The system is unable to play DVDs - says a compatible device is not found (although it registers in system profiler as DVD/RW).
And finally, I installed iWork and it doesn't seem to work - the apps come up but I can add any word processing/slide etc content to the doc - typing, but nothing on the screen.

Any help is appreciated, thx in advance!

I have T60p, and I have never had any Bluetooth problems, it worked OOB without any additional kexts. I used iPC 10.5.6 package to install OSX though.

DVD drive also works fine for me, I was even burning some disks there, when Vista stopped recognizing the drive.

My best guess is to try to install OSX again. Maybe try bozilla's 10.6 guide, since you already have Leopard installed.
