iAktos s3 v2 - working on x60s

#1 Post by shooteagle » Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:17 pm

first thanks to Sebinouse for helping with the setup with a retail. works great.

Now i have also setup another (my brohter's) x60s with iAktos using the following configuration

Bootloader > Chaemleon v2 RC4

Boot loader options > Ethernet, USB / USBBusFix

Patches > USB

Drivers > > Main Hardware > SATA/IDE > AHCI SATA, Intel SATA/IDE
Drivers > Main Hardware > PS/2, Voodoo PS /2
Drivers > Main Hardware > CPU Power Management > Voodoo P-State
Drivers > Main Hardware > Laptop Hardware > Battery, Card Reader, TSC Sync, ACPI Thermal (32-bit)

Drivers > VGA >Intel > Efi string, natit, GMA950 full package

Network > Wireless > use the legacy60t kext from Sebinouse

Netwwork > Wire > Intel Pro V100

Even if you get the iAtkos to work, pls support Apple by buying the $30 retail disk.

I'm actually in process of builidng a new desktop for windows / mac for video editing. having problem with iMovie 2009 and my camcorder (Canon hf 200), kept crashing.

Thanks for the tips of setting for iAktos s3 v2. I have an X60s also and tested to install OSX on my thinkpad also. Every think went neat except for the wireless network.

shooteagle:
- Which version of wireless network do you (your brother) have on the x60s? I have a Intel wireless 3945ABG.

I tested to install "legacy60t kext" from Sebinouse, but OSX crashed after reeboot. Not sure if installed it correctly.. a i am a rookie on OSX, and this was my fist kext i installed.

I am new on Mac and OSX, but intressed to test it out (before i may by the real Mac hardware).

Intel 3945 is not compatible with mac OSX ... you have to switch your wifi card another one ... (Atheros from my signature for instance, about 15$ on ebay)

Hello,

Thank you for your tutorial. I have installed iaktos V3 s2 on my thinkpad X60. It works great.

But I have two problems, my touchpad and the wifi doesn't work.

Do you have an idea for resolve this problem ?

Thanks
