/Extensions /Extra/Extensions /System/Library/Extensions

#1 Post by lol74fr » Tue Feb 22, 2011 12:15 pm

Hello,

I have read that kext in /Extra/Extensions are used instead of those with same names in /System/Library/Extensions Right?

What about kext in /Extensions ? I have renamed it to /Extensions.OLD without noticing any change!

My /Extensions contains several kext such as

o AHCIPortInjector.kext
o AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext
o ApplePS2Controller.kext
.
.
.
o fakesmc.kext

Thanks

Only the kext in /E/E or in /S/L/E are recognized by the bootloader and by MacOSX ... you can safely remove this folder ! (Make sure you have some kext in /E/E ...)
