It's in the step 20 (see my first post).

As about Mountain Lion - it seems we need the 64bit X3100 graphic drivers first
Mac OS X 10.6.7, 10.6.8 and 10.7.2 Lion on X61 7767 tablet.

Supposedly there is a working 64 bit X3100 driver working in ML.

http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1325709

I need to dig through the thread a bit more to see how legit these kexts are, but if they seem ok and I have time, maybe I can attempt a ML install on another disk.

- Use the same Kext Utility download and install following files in Mountain Lion:
(all are located in System/Library/Extensions in your Lion installation you install them to Mountain Lion in the corresponding place)
AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext
AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext
AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin
AppleIntelGMAX3100GLDriver.bundle

Finally got sleep working on my X61 7675-2KU. Once I updated to the current Chameleon, sleep/wake started working fine. I have updated my media fire account with the new configs and files to get this working on your X61. Everything works and I have even labeled all the devices via the DSDT file I meticulously coded.

Finally, after sooo much delay, my RAMs and SSD have just arrived today and I'm now ready to upgrade my beloved X61 and get Lion to it. However, I've got a problem. In the instruction from Anatasius' first post, the second step is:
2) Install Chameleon 2.0 RC5 r1496 (you need exactly this version or Chimera - read below) to that Flash (it can be installed from .pkg)
I've been searching the web for a while and still couldn't find a link for that particular version of Chameleon. Can anyone please give me a link to download it? Thanks in advance.

Successfully installed Mountain Lion
I want to thank Anastasius for this great job that helped me to run Mountain Lion on my X61 7763 using part of his Extensions.
Just to share my experience I used MacPNT Extra folder with MyHack to boot from Usb Safely, because in MacPNT folder you can get the graphics enabled to complete the procedures of installing Mountain Lion on Hard Disk then I changed that to mix kexts.
After I installed some of the kexts provided in the first post to run the system. Some of the Kexts did not work for me so (After Hard Googling I was able to find the kexts that worked with my System)
Now I have fully working hackintosh on my Tablet.
What is not working: Trackpoint and Tablet.
Thanks again for all.

Installation:

Files :
1- X61 Extra and SLE Folders from http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?v84847aba1xgl16
2- MyHack 3.1.2

Method:
1- Prepare USB Installation with MyHack and using Extra Folder.
2- Copy Extra Folder to your USB
3- Boot From USB and install on Internal Partition - When asking to use Generic or your Extra choose my own and browse to Extra folder that you copied to USB.
4- Reboot from Hard Disk.
5- Wait 10 minutes. (I prefer to run MyHack and choose Run Myfix then reboot)
6- Copy Kexts from SLE folder that you downloaded fro above link (choose whatever fits your hardware)
9- Run MyHack and choose Run Myfix.
10- Reboot and that's it.

-QE/CI not enabled
-Launchpad taking more time I used TinkerTool to kill Launchpad animation.
-In you Tube HD Movies Right click on Video and disable Graphics acceleration.

As I mentioned up still no Trackpoint and no Tablet pen functions.

Regards.

I have things working mostly (on Lion 10.7.3) but for some reason my keys #5 and #6 do not work. Pressing them does not show any result. All other keys on my keyboard work.

Any solution for this?

Thanks

I have an X61 7762 Thinkpad / Mountain Lion 10.8.1

I tried Lion but could not get the Internet to work, with Internal or external adapters. Being I had to format it, I figured what the heck and tried 10.8.1 and it sweetly installed. I roughly used the guide and kexts a few posts above about ML. Now I have a usable laptop for me to work with.

Things that work:
* Trackpoint / keyboard
* Display looks nice, but cannot dim
* Internet with USB realtek dongle
* Fingerprint reader is sweet!
* App store / iCloud / iMessage
* USB

Things that do not work:
* Sound - cannot get the audio to create sound though it thinks it exists.
* Internal wifi card: Atheros 168c.002a Not recognized
* Sleep - Sleep of death...
* Tablet - Just does not work.

Over all it is usable for me to take work home because I mostly do SSH, programming and web research. It seems stable and fast, beautiful and I am enjoying it. I wish I had sound, sleep and Internal wifi but it is acceptable.

Hey everyone! Glad to be here! There is a ton of info here!

I currently acquired a T61 for almost 0 money. 8897-01U. Built a few OSX machines before and thought i'd give 10.7 a go last week.

I have 10.7.5 working smoothly Except Sleep. I'm not using a DSDT but I'm trying to understand it and make use of one that I got from another T61 user. Hesitant to use it though I am backed up just encase and willing to give it a go.

Just wanna say, thanks for all your sharing, I hope I can contribute so worthy info as well!

Cheers!

What kext exists to get trackpoint working with Moutain Lion? I've tried both voodooPS2 and the AppleCPIPS2Nub and ApplePS2Controller from the ML post on page 10, to no avail.

Many Thanks

Hi I have 10.7.5 running fine on my x61 (7674) its not a tablet version.

I bought a Atheros ar5008 and worked right away for internet.

I only have a few issues I am trying to iron out at the moment.

1, No bluetooth was working on 10.7 out the box but might be as I switched wifi cards not sure if it was a dual card and thats why its not working.. Could be wrong?

2, When I go to about this mac it shows up as me having 1.45GHz when I actually have 2.0GHz some time this does show up as correct and then even after a reboot is correct but after not using the x61 for about 5 hours on restart reverts back to 1.45GHz which is wrong.
FIXED: bios settings!

3, If I use my laptop charger and unplug it the screen dims a bit but I adjust back using brightness control.

4, no pcmci won't charge my mouse.

Other than this runs fine and works well.

OK this is what I did ..

I download the combo update from the internet. put my kext files on the desktop that i needed for sound and graphics so on the ones I added to the s/l/e folder.

Then I did a backup to usb of my system using super duper and run multibeast after on the usb drive you just backed up to so its bootable using userdsdt and system utilities so i have a bootable usb of my system incase things go wrong you can boot using this and fix the issues on the internal drive i also then added the extra folder files to the usb drive so I have the correct boot options. Making this perfect copy is a good idea.

EDIT: Just remembered that I removed the sleepEnabler.kext file as 10.7.5 did not like this in my s/l/e folder.

run the combo update and then (if you can before doing a restart use multibeast with userdsdt and system utilities and then kextbeast with kext on desktop to get back sound and other custom kext items i also copyed the extra folder from my usb hard drive to the internal 1 so i have my correct boot.plist and other extra folder info) if you have to restart first then do this on boot up.

If you dont have mouse or keypad working on restart or other issues or if it goes wrong reboot using usb hard drive and run the above to the internal disc and copy the extra folder over also as this has your boot flags. and then it should be all back and working.

The issue I had was incorrect cpu .. I fixed this by going into bios (i have midletons version) and changed my speed step options to max performance this gave me back my cpu you can if you want set them all even without charger plugged so you get correct cpu when boot with no power lead plugged in.

Its also a good idea to keep that handy usb key installer handy as this always letted me boot to any drive without the usb backup.

Hope this helps

Made a quick edit to my post above about removing sleepEnabler.kext as 10.7.5 did not like this and would not boot till I removed it.

The kext I have on my desktop and my extra folder file are below:

my extra folder files.. http://www.filehost.ws/ldlfu7r5i6pr
my desktop kext.. http://www.filehost.ws/jerv10zal9s2
(image of kexts in folder) Image

I keep my desktop kext on the desktop because as I am trying to work out issues and after running multibeast I always lose sound and other kext files get wiped so has been easy while i am trying things just to leave there and run kextbeast after to make sure I get sound and others working..

I have a x61 so these I have found to work well.
