I'm finally testing Bluetooth :)

Did any one try to use Apple's Bluetooth mouse or keyboard on Mac OS X?

I tried, all went well, except when I go to sleep and then back I have to enable again these devices everywhere or else they won't work. (though I added them to "Favorites" in Bluetooth Mac OS X settings). Did anyone face something like this? :jhem:

1) Install the hacked bios that middleton has posted to remove the MiniPCIe whitelist:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo- ... ost6501443

2) Search ebay for Dell DW 1390 There are tons of these things that go for as low as $2.70 SHIPPED! Native OSX support, Vista support, and linux finds it no problem! There's also a way to get packet injection working, ;)

Thanks. Not sure thou I want to flash that bios. Because termal sensors will not be working after that anymore...

That does not apply to our FCBGA6 soldered on processors.

Screen gets black with backlit on

After installation, i've pasted S/L/E , E/E, did permission settings,

and the screen gets black. sometimes it works with external display without QE/CI and all applications are shown in small window.

in verbose mode, I see

Code: Select all

IG:Invalid firmware max backlight setting
And screen gets black.

HDD indicator works as I enter password and press enter, I think only screen doesn't work.

Is there any solution for this?

Thanks.

/Extras/Extensions is obsolete since lion. All extensions must go into /S/L/E.

I've tried and still the same...

But when I go into single user mode(-s), and exit,

The screen comes in external display with QE/CI.

I think I'm almost there....

Thanks!

Is it possible to make screen rotate automatically? or at least by button? I installed SpecialKeys, but it does not help. I tried to configure it myself, no luck...

Actually, since 10.7.2

10.7.1 reads /Extras/Extensions fine for me.

You'll need SwitchResX. It's very cheap and does what it does - rotates any monitor you have. You'll experience some issues though when using complex monitor configurations.

I just updated to 10.7.3 (Build 11D46) and get the following message upon boot:

Code: Select all

Jan 23 05:31:14 localhost kernel[0]: start [/SourceCache/AirPortDriverAtheros9380/AirPortDriverAtheros9380-430.14.9/src/common/lmac/ath_dev/darwin/AtherosController.cpp:962] load failed
I can't access Wi-fi now (no hardware found).

Anyone got this message and fixed it? (I've seen it's not a specifc message to this version). I also got a kext error message after installation, I think it was related to not being able to load Apple16X50 IIRC (but I think this shouldn't be related to this error message).

Could you use SwitchResX latest version to rotate x61t internal screen by 90 or 270 degree? I tested it, 180 degree is fine, But not 90 or 270 degree.

I just wanted to share, I found old wifi card BCM94311MCAG from my dead hp dv6000, installed it and it works... :P Just no Airport support and if switched off, no back on without rebooting.

Nope, it's not possible to rotate it by 90 or 270. Only 180. This is limitation of X3100 Hackintosh. I investigated this problem - wrote a tool that uses standard Objective-C libraries to rotate it by 90 - no luck. You'll have to rewrite framebuffer low-level drivers to make it possible.

Is there full graphics support on Lion now? QE/CI, Brightness, Display Resolution? I've got an SGXA+ display.

Any chance for PCMCIA support? A useful thing are the 2-port USB 2.0 cards which don't stand out of the port.

On my X3100, 1024x768 everything absolutely works including OpenGL & QE/CI, except brightness control

Yep, there's a kext for Cardbus slot, but you'll need also drivers for the card you're inserting

I have an x61 7674 (middleton bios because i use SSD) and I am running Lion 10.7.2 11C74. Everything is working including brightness. At first it was uneven ( the left or right part of the screen didn't change brightness correctly) but after a patch on the x3100 kext or in dsdt (don't remember i did it a few month ago) it works perfectly. I change brightness with the two keys above F11 and F12 and i can lower the brightness just like a real macbook.
If you are interested i can upload my kext and dsdt...

EDIT: of course QE\CI work

Sorry for the bad english

Thanks a lot. I'm trying to get a complete collection of working drivers to avoid the searching from the various sources of all kinds of Thinkpad and OSx86 forums. Unfortunately I can't help too much, I don't get along with the Chameleon 2 Bootloader.

My files will be listed here: http://www.mediafire.com/myfiles.php#8k81gh90l1970

I added a list of all vendor and device ID's of the x61t. It would be great if anyone could create a complete LegacyX61.kext as a base. My tablet is an X61t with Core2Duo 1.6 GHz, 8 GB RAM, SXGA+ display and standard BIOS. The 2nd Mini-PCIe-Card is an Broadcom CrystalHD Video Decoder. The Macmodel entry in smbios.plist should be MacBookPro3,1 (Core2Duo/Merom) for the x61 and MacBookPro1,2 (CoreDuo) for the x60.

Pedrone: I know this kext with the incorrect brightness, looked strange ;) Do you have graphics mode selection? I have a 1400x1050 display, that's the main reason why I'm searching for a really 100% driver. OpenGL also was always in slow motion, have you tried the OpenGL test in Xbench? I never got fully working graphics, neither in Snow Leopard or Lion.

This is the result with xbench:
System Info
Xbench Version 1.3
System Version 10.7.2 (11C74)
Physical RAM 2048 MB
Model MacBookPro2,3
Drive Type OCZ-VERTEX2

OpenGL Graphics Test 24.09
Spinning Squares 24.09 30.56 frames/sec

I did not understand the first question...btw my brother have a t61 with 1440 res and it also works good.

Well I don't remember the Xbench graphic results anymore... it looked absolutely like slow motion in comparison to my HD2600XT which brings 150 in OpenGL. Okay, the X3100 isn't the fastest gfx chipset, but I presumed a bit more. Even my AGP X1600Pro with a bad AGPGart had nearly 68 in OpenGL.

But it could be a problem of Xbench itself. Here's a guy with a real MacBook with Intel X3100 and he also gets only about 20. http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?t=80978

Hey, what do you think of my disk test? ;) It's no fake!

It's very fast! what ssd do you have? and how did you enabled sata 2 without a modified bios.

Why are you running leopard?

That's not on my Thinkpad, it's on my AMD Opteron 185 machine. It's still a board from 2006, using DDR1 333 MHz RAM ;) There was no good Snow Leopard support for AMD, and Lion is impossible because lack of the SSSE3 command set. So I stay with Leopard, it works well enough. However, I want to get my Thinkpad working ;)

Well, the kind of drive I use is really fast. Unfortunately it isn't bootable.

Could you point me out where the working Cardbus kext for Lion is? I have a few PCMCIA cards working on x61 with Leopard already. So I can test the Cardbus kext for Lion.

All Cardbus kexts that I found so far will make Lion OS crash.
thanks a lot.
