Mouse problems ever resolved?

It's been a while since I've tinkered with my OS X install, but I was wondering if anyone had ever found a fix for the mouse problems on the T60's that came with ATI cards (non-FireGL).

Here it is.

Got it from the inside logo on a 701C upper keyboard cover. It was shot to pieces and cracked in 5 different places to no waste...
