I have Lion installed on my T61 with everything working 100%, and yesterday I had the BT Magic Mouse connected, working awesome... until it stopped. Bluetooth on my T61 was installed Natively. Now Bluetooth isn't even seen in the system anymore... I think I was installing Windows 7 on Parallels around the time it stopped, or it was after, maybe before.... Rebooting, Shutting down completely, and even removing the bluetooth device on the T61, then booting up without, then putting it back in, nothing has fixed the issue. Any idea's why bluetooth just stoppd working??
Bluetooth worked OOB in SL without a DSDT, then I installed Lion with my DSDT in and it still worked OOB. I really want it back, love using the mouse with it. :(

I get this problem too on my T61, both on SL and Lion.

For me it happens when standby kicks in, i have never got standby or sleep to work and none of the caffeine or coffee stay away apps work. so i dont close the lid. If i do by accident then the bios is reset and the bluetooth module disappears like yours.

The fix for me is to boot with a Ubuntu Live CD. I dont know why since i tried every possible other fix without success. Ubuntu seems to do a hardware scan at boot which revives the bluetooth module.

Just download the Ubuntu ISO and burn to either a memory stick of DVD. Let me know how you get on.

Does your standby work?

cheers
Gus

I'm wondering if there is an easier way. I haven't had bluetooth for a minute (h-speaking)... (forever)

I think I unplugged the drive and DVD once and it worked, but tried again and the trick didn't do it... Any experts that can write an enabler to bluetooth would be awesome.

Im going to try the thinkvantage button to see what I find, I gave up on this a while and added a small usb BT module for this very reason....
