Lenovo 3000 N100 CMOS?

#1 Post by Tõnis » Mon Sep 17, 2012 5:14 pm

Does the Lenovo 3000 N100 have a CMOS battery? If so, where is it, and is it easily replaced? I replaced the CMOS battery on my R61 -- found it right under the keyboard (or palmrest I forget) -- and it was a plug in, straightforward task. Is replacing the 3000 N100's CMOS (if there even is one) as simple, or is it a more complex task? Is it plug in? Or is it soldered to the mobo?

TIA,

Tony

PS -- The reason I suspect it needs to be replaced is because the time on the clock is off.

I have a 3000-C200, which is probably very similar.
On mine the CMOS battery is located under the touchpad/palmrest, and is soldered onto the mobo.
