E.g. 3000, IdeaPad, S- and U-Series, B-Series and so on...

3000 N200 shuts down once after initial startup.

#1 Post by Indy452 » Fri Nov 08, 2013 7:54 am

I always thought it was a Vista thing but apparently not. I recently installed Ubuntu 12.4 LTS on the machine and and it still does this..... It works great, I shut it down from the previous day, I start it up in the morning...I get logged in and the desktop comes up and about ten seconds later the whole laptop completely shuts down on its own. I re-start it and log back in load the desktop and the machine is fine for the rest of the duration of my computing experience. What could be causing this symptom?

Thanks.

Did you try checking the memory? That and the board are the usual suspects.

I have the very same machine:
3000-N200 (0769-AUU) with T2330(1.6GHz), 15.4" WXGA and 60GB Samsung 830 SSD with W7-Pro 32-bit.
Never a problem.
Maybe your HD is too old?
