It is step to the right direction although a diet wouldn't hurt
. Unfortunately there isn't similar ThinkPad model (it means 12" widescreen with internal DVD drive under 2kg).
Any opinions on build quality of V100 ?

It was a nice idea badly implemented as it has a lenovo badge on it.
I always hoped that the X60 would have been implemented with a slim optical drive (wouldn't really have added much overall thickness given the wedge shape if done properly) and the X60s would have been left as the true ultraportable without optical drive - this would have given a truer distinction between the models.
