Battery MaxiMiser on Lenovo 3000 N100

#1 Post by hamerad » Sun Dec 10, 2006 11:21 am

Is it possible? I have a (0768-DKU). I have spent some quality time on the phone with IBM, and they were no help. We tried installing the packages, to no avail. One of my favorite ThinkPad feature is the green battery meter and power management software. The 3000 just has Windows Power Management, which is just lackluster.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

One of the "older" versions of the app WILL install on ANY brand of laptop...I showed it some years back to a group of friends and now it runs on Compaq/HP's, Dell's and Toshiba's... the latest version will NOT install unless it is a TP...I will try to get you a copy...keep in mind that the "cycle count" and "wh" function will not work(never tried on a Lenovo..)..but the battery meter will.

Sounds great. Any places I could try to look to save you some time? Whats the name of the install package?

Thanks!

I know its not the same thing, but Notebook Hardware Control is a great program and offers a similar interface to BMR.
Have used just about every ThinkPad since the T42 days...

I have used NHC. I simply dont like the interface as much as ThinkPad's and I find that it is significantly taxing on system resources.

Try this program Notebook Battery Info http://www.batteryinfo.de.vu
I have it running on my 600E and is great. It does look like the battery meter from IBM, but it does not have power management features, just tells the status of the battery.
I have finally rejoined the dark side.

I thought that is close enough for what you are looking for. It's great because it will run on any laptop as long as it runs Windows 2000 or XP. Its a bummer this guy didn't support Windows 9x/Me. I do run this on my 7 year old thinkpad 600E (old school, ain't it?)
