lenovo 3000 n100 battery meter

My Lenovo 3000 N100 0768 dlu battery meter does not have rate of charge/discharge nor time remaining on battery. When purchased this three months ago I thought this was working. The bios has been updated and the battery and battery charger have been replaced recently. Would the battery dying cause some failure on the motherboard that would result in the charge rate not beeing accessable? Installing notebook Batteryinfo shows rate of of 0.00W. Is this laptop capable of measuring the rate? I am about ready to reinstall the OS and starting all over again. Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

Try Notebook Hardware Control (http://www.pbus-167.com). I think it shows the remaining time info when the laptop battery status is offline. I use it on my C100 and it works fine.
