Hey guys,
I just received my Lenovo Vista Upgrade Vista Business DVD and am excited about installing it. Anyone have any good/bad experiences or suggestions before I start

If you intend to use the upgrade for Business (for your work), check to make sure that things like security, Anti Virus, and VPN all work. Many don't at this point. I cannot use Vista yet because of these incompatibilities. If you have no business needs, you probably will have no problem. ... JDH

I'd suggest two things: get more RAM if you only have a half gig, and format your hard drive to do a clean install.

I went from 512 to 1.5 gig and was amazed at how much faster everything runs.

I did the express upgrade and wound up with an absolute mess. Since I had already partitioned my hard drive and keep all my data on a separate partition from the OS and programs, it wasn't that big a deal to reformat the C: drive.

Some things -- like the internal Bluetooth daughter card I installed -- never really worked right after the upgrade and I spent lots of time looking for drivers. With the clean install, Vista found them and everything runs fine.

I believe I needed to install the audio drivers from the Lenovo site, but most everything else works fine. Vista's Network and Sharing Center also seems far preferable to Lenovo Access Connections.

The only real remaining bug is that the Lenovo Care button doesn't seem to work. Anybody have any thoughts on that?

Hello, my lenovo care button works only during boot loading for more boot choices, that's all. (No effects when using vista) I'm using Vista Business. It's possible this button is monitored by Lenovo care software like rescue software... ?
