need the lenovo information recovery cd/dvd

#1 Post by asimrafiq » Mon Jul 16, 2007 8:49 am

I need some information regarding Lenovo N100 recovery cd/dvd. Basically I am selling ibm laptops. I have to sell 200 laptops of Lenovo N100 these are on Dos OS.. I have to install Win XP pro on it. I have 200 OEM win XP licensed. If I install XP on every laptop it will take 3 to 4 hour per laptop. Can u guide me that how can I reduce my time… Is their any option that I can get with XP recovery CD with all drivers. I just insert the cd and it start the installation with drivers. At the end I just want to give the Licensed of the XP pro which I already bought. So my time will be reduce and Win Will be licensed.

I don't think so, atleast AFAIK you don't have any other choice other than:

1. Using oem media to install the XP which you're doing right now.
2. Using Product recovery disks which takes max of 1-1:30 hrs. to fully restore the system to factory state.

Build one as you want it, then use Ghost or DriveImage to create an image. Copy the image to a DVD, then blow it across all the laptops. Then use GhostWalker if you need to change the system SIDs to be unique afterwards.

Incidentally, how much are they?
