I was browsing LaptopLogic this morning and stumbled across the following article...
Of course, without a TrackPoint, it can't compete with a ThinkPad. And don't get me going on widescreen glossy displays.
Nevertheless, the price is right and the rest of the specs aren't bad.

The Lenovo 3000 Y410 notebook has just been launched in the US (without an official press release!).

The Y410 laptops are not directly available from Lenovo's online shopping site for US. One can get hold of it, by purchasing it from online stores like Office Depot, Micro Center and Staples. Pricing starts at $699 and up depending on the final config.
Update! LogicBUY.com reports Staples has a deal for $649 after rebate with Free Epson All in One Printer.
