I purchased a brand new Lenovo 3000 C200 laptop in January and was completely satisfied but was also hesitant since Lenovo purchased IBM and would think customer service and product would degrade but i went ahead with the purchase, well i am dissapointed and regret ever being a customer of Lenovo because of their correspondance to my complaints.
As i purchased the laptop in January 2007 brand new with one year warranty i was satisfied with my purchase until October when i another fault had arisen yet again from the earlier repair dne at lenovos repair centre. Let me start that in August the laptop was sent out because of monitor problems i.e coloured lines showing accross the screen and random flashing of the screen going on and off and once i gotten the laptop back after that repair, about a month later in october 2007 another fault had happened but this time various colored lines and black blobs of black on random parts of the screen but mind you their were not any visible damages to the outside or to the LCD front panel which i mean their were no cracks or marks etc...
Upon contacting Lenovo with my issue they sent a courier over and two days later sent me a quote via email for the sum of $1082 for the repair of the LCD but i purchased the base model in january for roughly $1100 and the price for the LCD was outrageous and upon contacting support they said all they can do is put me in touch with customer satisfaction who said they would look into it which they did but all they could manage was to discount it to $500 which is still alot of money for a student who can't afford it.
1. Quote was $1089 when purchased brand new in January for $1100.
2. Was in repairs recently in august for a similar fault of LCD screen problems.
3. Still under warranty
My reference number for this latest problem is:

Is that the defective pixels you're referring to as blobs?Aristotles wrote:snip......but this time various colored lines and black blobs of black on random parts of the screen.....snip
Please see the following document:
