Bluetooth Problem

#1 Post by nojo901 » Thu Apr 10, 2008 2:50 am

Hi
I have a Lenovo 3000 N200 TY2BLUK 0769BLG.
The Bluetooth does not seem to work.
i have two BT icons in my notification area:
The white one allows me to "do" BT jobs (e.g. send files).
The red one is meant to let me Explore BT devices and configure Bt, but these options are greyed out and it just reports that "BT device not found".
When I right click the white icon it lists the Boadcom BT diongle, but reports that drivers are not installed (code 28) under Hardware.
In Device Manager, under BT, under "BT devices" it only list "BT Bus Emulator" and this is reported as working satisfactorilly. I am sure there used to be a "BT wireless" listing there, however, but not any more.
I have reloaded the BT drivers from the Lenovo site.
HELP!!
Thank you in advace for any help you might be able to offer.

Are you turning on the bluetooth through Fn + F5?

The following thread has some great info on making bluetooth work on thinkpads, your N200 is no different since it has the same card:

T60 Bluetooth can't find Nokia N95 mobile phone. SOLVED.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
