N200 - problem playing DVD

#1 Post by markspraggins » Sun Sep 28, 2008 10:47 am

inetervideo win dvd 5 worked fine on my N200 until recently. When it stopped I upgraded to ver 9. Now all I get is a "create overlay" error message. Tried reinstalling DirectX ver 9. I just can't seem to get directdraw enabled which seems to be the root of the problem.

The video is Intel Mobil Express which I have the latest drivers for.

Any suggestions please. I've tried Corel's website and all Google pages.

I would try a different program for playing DVDs. I think the decoder you are using is corrupted. Download Media Player Classic or VLC media player because both of those programs can play DVDs on their own without a 3rd party decoder. If a DVD plays with those programs, then Win DVD is just messed up.
I have finally rejoined the dark side.
