Re: modified preinstallation?
I´d rather say this is not possible, but you may want to take a look in this post of Johan

Re: modified preinstallation?
It came embedded with your hidden partition, and it's coincidence that you use it yourself...
Lenovo uses it for help access and warranty info (or stuff like that) within predesktop area...

Thanks for the input.
Another question. I have forgotten to make a rescue disk right after purchase and for some reason i can not make it anymore. Probably it is because in the main time i resized and modified partition with gparted. Anyway the system works. I have found in a how to website a way to make install cd using the running system i386 folder. I did so. I have tested the cd in virtualbox and unfortunately it starts up only in safe mode and so far i have not found a clue to solve the problem. In the hidden partition though i have not found any i386 folder so far, because i would like to try to make the process again with that folder. Is there any in the hidden partition?

Re: modified preinstallation?
I think not, but I didn't explore hidden partition for some time now...wisydude wrote:Is there any in the hidden partition?
I don't know how this functions on non-thinkpads, but i could make new restore disks every time i did factory restore...
