Internal clock running too fast (Z575) - any ideas?

I've noticed lately that the clock seems to gain about a minute per day. I run xubuntu but not sure if that has anything to do with it. Could a low battery cause that? I've never heard of low battery causing a clock to run fast.
Any ideas? It's not a real problem, just an annoyance.

Suggest you to try Lenovo Community (
http://forums.lenovo.com/) if there's no response in a few days. Seems not many Z575 owners here.
BTW, a little Googling found this...

Talking about a Toshiba model which also uses AMD A-series processors.
Cheers.

Nevermind I figured it out. It's some kind of linux bug. I was setting the clock from within linux and it would register the change, until the next time I booted. I feel silly, but it honestly never occured to me to just change the time from within the BIOS. I finally did and the changes stuck and low and behold, the clock has not advanced in time. Go figure.
