Ideapad Y570 FOR $200 US ??

I have a chance to buy an Ideapad Y570 with a formatted 500 GB HDD for ~asking $200 US, might flex on that. I'd be installing a new Samsung SSD. This is from a private seller, not a dealer, not refurbished, cash deal, no shipping, tax, or returns. Seller says "Was primarily used for photoshop, graphic editing, online gaming etc. personal laptop usage. Low usage overall." Looks undamaged, great shape.

That thing is nine years old, with rather poor specs.
Value? At most $50 (Europe maybe €70)
My advice: walk away.

So many people on here with 10 year old Thinkpads running a gen 1 i5, I thought this could be ok.

Yes, Thinkpads. Not Ideapads. That's a budget laptop at best.

You could by a T520 for less than $2oo with better specs. A real Thinkpad.
