Got this wonder to get keyboard in order (kids peaked keys outta it). Its terrible plastic crap, as could be expected in this price range. However, what got me attention, using genuine Lenovo ADLX65NLC3A power brick (which X240 and few others run hapilly with), it does not want to turn on. It does NOTHING whatsoever but the white LED near the connector being lit.

If I disconnect it, turn it on from accumulator and plug back in, in chargers, although, with full display backlight, system was complaining about it draining too much power and that it has to drain the accumulator, and really, it was oscillating at 46-47 %! But it charged fully when powered on.

Been told it works OK with the brick it came with. Anybody seen such behaviour before?? Appears to me Lenovo simply is not able to make its product work with different bricks even though they have same connector and way more than enough power. :screwy:

yeah its definitelly sucking the accumulator hard even despite showing its on wall power!!

besides, lietel generation 7867857685876 could not do partial dimming of the display after given time of inactivity?? a thing me good ol' Centrino 2 laptops could do, every single one of them, 7867857685875 generations older? dafuk, thats called progress

That Legion Y520 needs a 135W power supply (ADL135NDC3A), NOT the 65W you are trying there!

why? I mean I'd understand it under load, but pretty much with 2 cores loaded at best running on integrated graphics, that should be just enough; well good thing that it chargers the accumulator at least, could do some partial draw from the brick at least, but its cold so it likely does take almost no power out of it

now I DO have much larger brick somewhere, that could be the 130W-ish version, just wonder where it is, havent's seen it for a while  also should have few of those round-to-rectangular adapters…again, somewhere :D

whadabout that display dimming, why doesn't it have such feature?

Any dimming and your other problems are caused by the weak 65W instead of 135W power supply.
No idea what you are talking about: 7867857685876.

there is NO such option AT ALL in the settings, highly doubt it has anything in common with that

gonna boot and check

ADD// yep, booting up without brick attached for the whole time, no change; there is simply NO option about dimming, only turning display off completely, that's all

there were previously some drivers missing, installed "chipset" pack and thats about that, lievidia drivers for the GTX 1050 appear to be installed, only for the lietel GPU in the CPU, that could be actually missing; gonna chech winblows update, maybe it will find some new drivers too

ADD2// been wondering, does even that 10WINDBLOWS have any such option as dimming display? I'm trying to evade that BS as much as possible, mostly succesfully, but from occasionally getting in contact with it (have to always wash properly), I wonder if I have ever seen anything like that; I know it has that night-backlight-thing stupidity, is that supposed to be, like, instead?

search found this https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/108 ... ndows.html, so, it appears it may be added or removed, but this appears troublesome: If you did not originally have the Dim display after setting available, then it means it is not supported on your computer.
