Anyone can tell me if the S10 have enough graphic power run a 3D app like google earth. I think that google earth must no require too much, but I would like to be sure. Any one can confirm it?

First reaction is that it would run it-- Google Earth isn't really all that graphics-intensive. I may be able to install google earth on a nearby S10... If I do, I'll get back to you on it. :D

Thanks, are you waiting for a new machine?

Google earth has an option it´s better to check. "use safe mode", it´s under the graphic options. It disable some rendering features that some graphisc don´t process ok. I can see much better even with my T40 when checkin this box.

I find a nice option the S10 to carry in the car with the google earth offline. There is a tool out there allow to automatically travel over an area taking snaphots. The top of caché file is 2gb, that allow to can save a zone of around 70 km x 70 km. then you can use it offline with no need of internet. The tool it´s called GAV. A google search will show some info.

Hmmm... a search didn't show anything... but I didn't look too deeply. :D My sister has an S10, so I was going to see if she'd let me put Google Earth on there. I'll ask her today...

Unfortunately, I have been denied permission to attempt the Google Earth Experiment. ;__; I would be surprised if it didn't work, though...

Sorry, it´s GEV, google earth voyager, not GAV. Try again, sorry.

Thanks steveg47, that´s good!
