Adding Splashtop to early S10 model possible?
I bought an S10 a while back from Circuit City during their going out of business sale. This model (4231, 160gb) doesn't have the splashtop option like the newer S10's do. Is it possible to install this or will lenovo provide some sort of updated factory re-install? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!
I don't have an S10 myself, so I don't have an answer for you. However this thread at the S10 forum -> http://s10lenovo.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=955 seems to indicate it's possible.

Re: Adding Splashtop to early S10 model possible?
I recently got a non-splashtop S10, and I've successfully installed Lenovo's Quick Start. It took me a bit to figure it out simply because of how scattered the info was, so I thought I'd put together a short how-to.
First thing to do is to make sure you have Quick Start compatible BIOS. To check for this, just power on and go to the BIOS setup (by pressing F2) and look for the Quick Start settings under the configuration tab.
If you don't have the right BIOS already, just download and install this one: http://arndtcomputer.com/james/quickstart/bios.zip
The version of Quick Start we need for the S10 is 1.0.16.3; the latest one doesn't correctly support the S10's resolution (1024x576 instead of 1024x600).
The correct version of Quick Start can be downloaded here: http://arndtcomputer.com/james/quicksta ... t10163.exe
Install this on any partition you wish (I chose C:). Go to the drive you installed to, and make sure the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected. You can do this by clicking Tools, Folder Options, View, and the option should be visible. This will reveal some system folders on the drive, including two called QSTART.000 and QSTART.SYS. These two folders must be replaced by the two found in the third download:
http://arndtcomputer.com/james/quikstar ... _patch.zip
That's it! Quick Start should work perfectly after replacing those two folders.
