IdealPad Y430 Hardware manual, broken display

#1 Post by juser » Mon Sep 21, 2009 9:14 am

This has been a nice machine, a few SW glitches with audio and wireless, but a very nice package.

Unfortunately, the display got cracked. I am unable to find any hardware reference to determine part number of the LED backlit display. I may have to crack the case and look for a part number, something I have not done before and could sure use a tech manual.

Any recommended sources for replacement panels? Forum sponsors or the like?

thanks

Welcome to the Forum.
We basically deal in Thinkpads here, but you could try this.
On the bottom is probably the TYPE of your laptop, which could look like e.g. 2781-44Q
Type that in in this page: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... ry=278144Q
Enter your type just above the orange ring and press go.
Maybe they also make manuals for Ideapads, but I doubt it...

Search further on Google with this info: http://www.247laptoplcd.com/servlet/the ... top/Detail
