hello

I have got one of this S10.

I have read that it's possible to built in a Internal WWAN 3G sim card..
But where..?

If I turn it around i can unscrew a plate and come down to the wireless card (ithink).
But there is also a empty slot at same size as the wireless card slot.
Is this for 3G sim card?

Can't find any information in guide or at lenovo.com

maybe I have the answer...

I need a Expresscard 34 where I put my sim card in?

But what kind of Expresscard 34 fits in my S10 or S12 that I soon get... ?

Try searching for the Sierra Wireless 880/881E or the new Sierra Wireless AirCard's 501 or 503 (currently these seem to be quite rare though!) and also the Novatel Wireless Merlin Data Card Modems . However it maybe cost effective to buy an unlocked USB WWAN modem such as the Huawei E160/169 etc.

I have checked the IdeaPad S10's user guide (Pages 19 to 24), it does mention that some S10's do have a WWAN mini-PCIe slot located located on the bottom - but does not mention which Lenovo module is supported! - However there has been some success on a Philippines forum installing a Lenovo Ericsson F3507g.

Which ever device you choose to get you must make sure it supports your country's specific mobile telecoms system spec's (technology, frequencry band(s) etc).

Edit:
Just found the Hardware Maintenance Manual for the S10 - In the parts list section (Page 109) - The suggested WWAN module is the (Lenovo branded) Ericsson F3507g.

Why can't I find hardware manual for the S12 model?
