Batteries for a X300

#1 Post by hlt32 » Sun Nov 13, 2011 5:47 pm

Does anyone know of a good place to buy non-OEM 6 cell and a 3-cell bay battery for X300?

eBay?

I've actually had pretty good luck with non-OEM Chinese eBay batteries for the most part. Comparable charge to OEM, and ~$30 for just about any laptop battery you could ever want.

I've also had good luck with eBay as well, but with actual OEM/Lenovo batteries. I've bought quite a few from misc. recyclers. Although I've had a few "misses", but have picked up great luck as with used batteries.

I don't suppose you have any seller recommendations? I'm having problems finding the 3-cell bay battery on ebay.

Thanks for the help. :)

Looking on US ebay it looks like there is only seller for the 3 cell. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Cells-2800-mA ... 1e68294695

A few questionably genuine ones for ~$60, and then $100 for definitely genuine ones.

That link is not for the bay battery.
I have never seen anything other than the original lenovo Bay battery.

My bad, somehow my mind blanked out "bay" from the first post

If you want a 3 cell bay battery for cheap, I don't have much to say other than goodluck

Found it! This seller has (had: I ordered one) 10 up for sell of the 3 cell "bay-batteries" for sale.

I don't know if he'll ship over seas or not though. You might want to check. I'm sure there'll be others who are interested in this since these batteries at less than the "list" price is rare!

That's not a bad price at all.
He does ship to the UK but by the time all the charges are paid I estimte the total cost to be in the region of £75/$117 (max).
As I got my last Bay battery from eBuyer for £90 not sure if it's worth it.
I'll be interested to know how you get on, keep us posted.

I received the battery today. If it's not "new", then it's very close to it. The seal on the anti-static packaging didn't have any appearance of having been opened. The battery posted that it had "1 cycle" and the full capacity as 23.59mah vs. the 24+ of "designed" capacity. My experience is the they tend to gain a little bit after some "exercise", so that looks about right. It certainly looks like a very good buy....at least here in the U.S.!
