Only boots once to disk?

So, on my X200... I have an "issue" where, if I go into the BIOS and set it to boot to CD first, and I restart (or just continue, whatever), it will boot to the CD/DVD the first time, but then when I turn it off after that, it turns a blind eye to the CD drive and goes directly to the next "reasonable" option... Is this a feature, or a bug? Or as I like to call them, bugatures... A bug latter called a feature.

What I have to do is go back into the BIOS and move devices around a little in the boot order menu, then save and restart. I've been through a couple of BIOS versions and this "problem" still persists... So I guess it's a feature?

Perhaps since my lappy has been through so much it's got a bit of brain damage, but that doesn't make sense because everything else works perfectly (despite numerous attacks to the motherboard with a small soldering iron), and if I recall correctly my parent's T61's do the same thing...

Gah, it's just confusing me thinking about it... It's not a huge issue, it's not like I boot from disk every day but it's just obnoxious when I'm trying to fix a problem, it's just an extra step that I'm not used to doing with any other _reasonable_ BIOS.

Rather than answer your question directly, let me suggest that whenever you wish to boot from a device other than the primary hard drive you press F12 at bootup and select from the menu the boot device you want .
