Problem with Matshita DVD in Ultrabase Series 3 for X220

Hi,
i have an X220 (4287-2WU) set in the Ultrabase Series 3 dock, which contains Matshita DVD-RAM UJ8A2. The system is not allowing me access the DVD (D: Drive) when i put in any # of CDs. Device Manager says that i have the latest driver but i'm not 100% certain. I used the product selector and auto detect feature on the Lenovo site but it's not detecting the docking station where the DVD is located (nor can it recognize that product when manually entered). Any idea how to fix this problem and/or find the latest driver?
