Hello
I've been using x200 tablet for last two years and no doubt it's a great machine. Regretfully last Friday i spilled some water at the keyboard. Now when i type left half of the keyboard works perfectly fine but keys on the rights side are producing different characters then they should. I wonder if that's just a keyboard problem or something is wrong with the motherboard?
Other then the keyboard laptops works perfectly fine.
Thank you for any answers!

How long did you let it dry out before powering it back on?
Sounds like there may still be water in the keyboard that is allowing electrical contact in keys. Is the location of the different characters that the are produced from the right side keys near the keys you are pressing?

Lenovo does a pretty good job of insulating the keyboard from the internals in the event of a spill, so I would agree it sounds like just the keyboard.
Fortunately so, because if you're not able to fix it a new keyboard is a heck of a lot cheaper than a new motherboard.

Yes, the location of the keys is close to the keys i'm pressing and sometimes when i press one key two letter or signs come up.
I let it dry for about 3 days. I was wondering if i should use it if there is still some water (humidity) in the keyboard? Will it harm the laptop in anyway?
I really hope the laptop is fine, it's one of those devices which you just don't want to replace!
Thanks for the replies!

If it were me, I would not use the computer while the keyboard is still acting up. Let it set upright on its side or upside down for a day or two. If it still produces weird key presses, then you may have to replace the keyboard.

In this case, you should power off(both AC, battery) the machine, let water go down through the water hole and make it dry without dryer.
Hopefully your laptop is working except keyboard.
Let it dry for a day and if it still goes on, just replace with new keyboard.
For further accident...
If you spilt a lot... water hole cannot affort it and water will go inside the machine cause mainboard corrosion.
Be cafeful and if you are worried about corrosion, visit lenovo as soon as possible no to make motherboard unuseable
