I'm looking for a way to disable wake on lid open, so that the computer doesn't do anything when the lid is opened. It's nice to have it wake up immediately, but it causes the fingerprint reader to reset, making fingerprint login slower than password entry, which is silly. I recall that my factory install acted this way, but when I installed Windows on a new SSD I bought, I could not for the life of me figure out how to replicate this behavior.
Many solutions on the internet involve inappropriately replacing the ACPI lid drivers with some other driver, but this is not a suitable solution. Has anyone figured out a more legitimate method for getting this functionality? Perhaps a kind soul with an x220 with a factory install would like to tell me what power settings they are using, or if there is some option in their BIOS for it?
I suppose another good solution would be getting the fingerprint reader to not reset upon device wake-up, but I can't figure out how to do that either.
Thanks in advance!
