Hi i have just picked up an x200, On the Lenovo website in the spec it doesnt have wwan but there looks to be a sim slot there when i take the battery out (Please see pic)

Is this standard, do all x200s have the slot but only certain ones are active? i think i read a review that said they were upgradable?
Thanks

The SIM card holder is there to support a GSM-based WWAN card if one is present in the machine. All X200 units have a miniPCIe slot in which to install such a card. If your machine does not have the card, then you may add an Ericsson F3507g card ..or.. install a modified BIOS which will permit the addition of any miniPCIe WWAN card.

If the config shown on the Lenovo
support web site page for your particular X200 7459-N?? configuration says "WWAN upgradeable", you are ready to go with the installation of a Lenovo WWAN card.
If it doesn't say that, you will need at least antennas, and possibly a SIM reader, as well as a Lenovo WWAN card.
