Anyone got an iso image of the OEM build for an X201 Laptop?

#1 Post by K_X201 » Sat Apr 14, 2012 10:39 pm

As per title, the build on mine is Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit. Just want to know if i'm missing anything without the Enhanced Experience 1.0

I bought my laptop second hand, the previous user has upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Thanks,

No, you're not missing much if anything.

Perhaps a registry tweak here and there, but you're not saving much time shaving one or two seconds from a a minute-thirty to two minute boot time (assuming you don't have an SSD installed... and if you do, registry tweaks pale in comparison to the thirty-second boot time an SSD provides).

Perhaps you're missing some wallpapers and the customized login screen, but those are easy fixes (unless the previous user installed them himself).

Just say no to the ThinkBook Pro.

Thanks Q Ball,

Doesn't sound like I'm missing much then, I will time my boot up time just to see how long it takes for boot up. Other than my curiosity of EE 1.0 I am really happy with the X201 and the current build.

EDIT:- Removed my password and timed my boot up and I got 38 seconds from power on to everything being loaded on my desktop. Not bad for a 7200rpm HD 8)
