X220 Tablet 9 cell battery

#1 Post by mulleady » Wed Apr 18, 2012 11:32 am

Hi there,

I'm just need to be sure before I buy a 9 cell. Does the tablet version take the same battery as its non-tablet counterpart?

Thanks!

No, not at all. In fact, there is no 9-cell battery for the X220 tablet, as far as I know.

Thanks that is very useful to know. I presume it can take the extended battery underneath though?

Yes, this battery (19+ slim external 6-cell) is compatible with both the tablet and non-tablet versions.

I'm pretty sure you can't use the 6 Cell Slice with the 6 Cell Regular battery together.
Since the 6 Cell regular battery buldges downward, I don't think the Slice will attach.

I could be wrong, but I think you can only use one or the other, not both at the same time.
You can use both slice and regular on a regular X220, because there is no downward bulge.

I've never seen an X220 Tablet with both the slice and the 6 cell attached at the same time.
If you do manage to attach both, I'd love to see a picture.
That would be one monstrous looking laptop.
