I'm looking at an X200 on ebay.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't get it?
What should I know about the X200?
What are it's pros/cons?
Thanks

Re: Should I Buy an X200
Hi Parato,
There are a few things you should consider:
1. The X200 comes in two main flavors: CCFL backlit and LED backlit... the LED backlit variants are slightly colder in terms of color temperature, but don't use as much power when set brightly. Translates to about an hour more battery life with the big 9-cell battery.
2. The Intel display driver has a bug that causes high power consumption after resuming from Suspend-to-RAM (Standby) in Windows 7. You can work around this by restarting the display driver after resuming from standby (using devcon.exe through a batch script). The difference is about two hours on with the 9-cell.
3. The X200 is a great little machine. Very reliable and quite snappy, especially with an SSD.

Hi Parato,
I have a X200T (tablet) , with a LED screen and Intel SSD. For me it’s a quick machine and has a long battery life with the 9 cell battery, which in my opinion sticks out but I don’t mind it.
Good luck in finding the X200 that you want.
