x220 not hibernating correctly

#1 Post by rsutoratosu » Fri May 18, 2012 11:20 am

I have a bunch of x220 with weird hibernation problems that I can't replicate.. ie you hibernate windows 7, it does it's stuff but when I wake it up later on, it gives me windows did not shut down correctly ,do you want to run repair or start normally..
so whatever I had opened is gone.

It doesn't happen all the time.. but enough to get annoying. I have a new x220 in the box, going to test that out with just factory software installed.

Anyone else having weird hibernation issues ?

Also should I just not use hibernation and go to sleep ?

Most of the standby/hibernate issues, AFAIK, are software or driver-related.

If it's a common problem for a common model like the X220, it would had been reported and discussed to death already.

Have you checked the Event Manager and see if there's anything interesting there...?

Cheers.
