What to look out for when buying a used X201t

#1 Post by fudgy » Thu Jun 07, 2012 9:02 pm

Hello friends,

I'm planning on looking at a used x201 tablet 2985 soon. Are there any issues that are common with this model I should be keep my eyes open for? I currently have an x200t and am looking for a bump in speed.

Thanks!

An ssd in your x200t would give you a significant boost in performance and save you lots of $$$$.

Thanks, Steve. Thing is, the person selling the x201t is giving me a good deal. I wanted to try out Windows 8 and currently have an SSD in my x200t.

I have a 2985EZG 8GB ram and 160GB Intel SSD, my wife has a 3113WNE 8GB Ram 500GB HDD, both are good machines, her i5 cpu seems a bit better than my i7 but the speed of the SSD just blows away both her tablet and my desktop. Mine, the battery drains maybe a bit faster than hers but not by much, mine has multitouch and hers is pen enabled, again for diffrent requirements. Both of us are really happy with our machines, they work and work as advertised
