What is the plastic thing on top of the screen for

The X220 Tablet has a plastic thing on the top right part of the screen. What is that for? Is that the 3G antenna? Or is it to aid open the display?

It is just for opening display.

It is indeed the 3G WWAN antenna housing

Are you sure? I had it little popped out and I didn't see any wires coming in.

Ahh OK - You have the Wireless WAN antenna assembly dummy (stub), which has no antenna - Just checked it in the ThinkPad X220 Tablet and X220i Tablet HMM Page's 127 & 129

Okay. I guess it does not make sense to remove it. But now I at least know what it is for.
