Middle button/trackpoint scrolling in windows explorer

#1 Post by EvilBisBack » Wed Sep 05, 2012 9:09 pm

I have an X200t running Windows 7 Ultimate and I've never been able to figure out how to get the middle button + trackpoint scrolling feature to work in windows explorer or other file managers (works fine in browsers, MS Office, PDFs, etc.).

I've seen people mention fiddling with the settings in the control panel (under "Mouse Properties") but I don't see anything that would plausibly fix this (the only tabs in the "Mouse Properties" window are: Buttons, Pointers, Pointer Options, Wheel, and Hardware; under the "Wheel" tab I can adjust the number of lines scrolled at a time, but there are no other settings to adjust).

Not sure if this is relevant but the model I have doesn't have a touchpad, just the trackpoint.

Any ideas?

If you're using the synaptic driver I do remember me editing some file which essentially tells it what applications to exclude from scrolling. Google for it and you'll find it.
