Gobi 2000 card

I have an x201 tablet with a factory installed gobi 2000 card. I sampled the Verizon service for one month, but it was somewhat slow, even in high reception areas.

Would this card be any faster using ATT? Is there any way (firmware upgrade?) to make the card perform faster?

Thanks

Probably, depending on your location relative to AT&T coverage. Max EV-DO (Verizon) up/down speeds are less than this card's max HSPA (AT&T) up/down speeds:
-- HSPA: Up to 7.2Mbps download, 5.76Mbps upload
-- EV-DO: Up to 3.1Mbps download, 1.8Mbps upload

In my experience just about any current 3G service from a major Telco ISP will be faster than EV-DO, no matter who the provider is.

In the specific case of North America the biggest issue is coverage, but if you have 3G coverage, then you will almost certainly be better off on 3G.
