X220 outout to display port.

I have a Display Port to HDMI adapter and whenever I try to switch off the computer monitor(F7) I get a BSOD.
Shouldn't I be able to do that? Does F7 only work with the VGA port?

X220, Windows 7 Pro
X220, 600X, Edge 13, T22, T23, 701C, 560Z, T60p, T43, 240Z,....

I don't think it's normal, I'd try updating drivers and such. While not as practical as the Fn+F7 shortcut, you should be able to select output in the graphics control panel.
