X201T: Upgrading "single touch" to "Enhanced Multi-touch"?

#1 Post by latopa » Thu Nov 01, 2012 3:38 pm

Hi all,

First of all, sorry for my poor English... but I'm Spanish

I've purchased a second hand Lenovo X201 tablet (model: 3113-CW3) with a broken screen (FRU P/N: 13N7297 = Toshiba LT121EE08000). Before purchasing a replacement screen (same brand and model), I'm considering to buy a better one, like Samsung LTN121AP0310 or Toshiba LTD121KX6B, that we can found in others X201T. These models are multi touch capacitive, while LT121EE08000 is only "single touch".

And the question are:

1.) Is the upgrade possible?
2.) Does these screens use the same power inverter as the LT121EE08000?
3.) Does these screens requires a different bezel or mounts than LT121EE08000?
4.) Other considerations?

Any advice would be appreciated,
MAC

I don't know the answer, but where did you found all the model numbers of the screens?

thanks for that

Welcome to the forum.
Please download the repair manual (HMM) here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail. ... MIGR-70830
In there you will find all the details about the different screen options.
Someone else may be able to tell you if the change is possible.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
