X200 USB 3.0 Expresscard Issues

Hi,
I'm having some odd issues with my X200 and an AKE 3 port USB 3.0 Expresscard. The card keeps giving me a code 38 error, stating the PC needs to be rebooted to fix the issue (something about the driver still being in memory). This often does not fix the issue, and the only way to resolve this is to uninstall the driver and reinstall it. Then the card will act up after a few hours or at the next reboot, and I have to uninstall the driver again.
The USB 3.0 card uses the Fresco Logic FL1100 chipset. My X200 is running Windows 7 64 bit, and the drivers said they were compatible with W7 x64. I've tried a few different versions, but with the same results. I leave the card in the laptop, does that have anything to do with it? Any ideas on how to fix it without reinstalling the driver each time I need to use it?
Thanks
